Jenn Boneza is proud to be a local journalist for over 19 years, the last six of them with KHON2.

“I’ve always loved asking questions and finding out why things are the way they are. I believe in fighting for what is right and standing up for the little guy. Being a reporter allows me to do all those things,” she said.

Jenn began her career in 2004 with Oceanic Time Warner Cable as a live sideline sports reporter and host. She also honed her skills by writing, developing and producing special series and programs.

Since joining the KHON2 team as a reporter in 2017, she has covered countless high-profile stories like the TMT conflict on Mauna Kea, the eruption of Kilauea and the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational, just to name a few.

In her current role as an anchor/reporter, she continues to report on stories that impact the community while also co-anchoring the KHON2 News at 10, Monday through Friday.

Her reporting has earned her numerous awards, including Silver and Bronze Telly awards for her documentary coverage of “WWII Nisei” as well as honors from the Society of Professional Journalism.

Jenn was born and raised in Kailua on Oahu, attended Kamehameha High School and graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BA in Journalism.

In her time off, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and two dogs.
